Monthly or yearly? Three quick examples

Here is what a full year costs if you pay each month versus buying the long plan once.

So don't assume the long plan wins. Do the quick sum first. It takes ten seconds.

Tips to spend less on apps

• Count what you really use. If you haven't opened an app in a month, skip the next payment.
• Try one month first. Then buy the long plan only if you keep using it.
• Don't pay twice for the same thing. If one app already gives you music or AI, you may not need a second one.
• Keep a simple list of what you pay for and when each plan ends.

How to choose a plan length

• Trying a service for the first time? Buy the shortest plan.
• Using it every day? Compare the per-month cost of the longer plan. It's usually lower.
• Check the exceptions. Right now, YouTube Premium's yearly plan costs more per month than the monthly plan.
• Set a reminder a few days before your plan ends so you don't lose access.
• Digital plans can't be refunded once delivered, so pick carefully.
